Planning the Perfect Golf Day: A Step-by-Step Guide
A great golf day almost never happens by accident. The ones people talk about for months, the smooth draw, the format that had everyone laughing, the prize table, the meal that turned up hot and on time, are the ones somebody quietly planned to death weeks beforehand. The good news is that the planning isn’t hard; it’s just a checklist done in the right order, early enough that nothing’s a scramble on the morning. Whether you’re running a society major, a corporate day or a stag do that happens to involve clubs, the same steps apply. Here’s how to build a day that flows from the first bacon roll to the last putt and on into the evening, with a plan for the one thing you can’t book: the British weather.

info@foremates.com ↗︎What does Foremates bring to a tournament?
AI-powered tournament management and a connected player experience. Bring the planning, people and competition together, with less admin for your team and more time for your golf club.
Where can AI save our team time?
Focus AI on the work around the golf: organising a tournament brief, preparing clear player messages and summarising event information. Your team checks the details and makes the final decisions.
How do we explore AI setup for our club?
Start with a real tournament: your format, player numbers, timings and the jobs that take the most effort. Bring that brief to a conversation with our team so we can work through the right setup and reporting approach for your club.
How can reporting help live and after the round?
During the round, use live scores and leaderboards to follow the competition. Afterwards, review the confirmed results and participation alongside your team’s feedback. AI can help turn that information into a concise summary and questions for your next event.
Does AI replace our organisers or official results?
Your organisers remain responsible for the event. Review AI-assisted plans, messages and summaries before using them, and check competition results against the recorded scores and your event rules.
Can we use Foremates for a corporate golf day?
Yes. Bring the event plans, players and live competition together for corporate golf days, society tournaments and club events. Tell us about your guests and the experience you want to create.
Does every player need an account?
No. Guest players can be included on the scorecard without a Foremates account. Golfers who want to use the app’s scoring, GPS and social features can join Foremates.
Can golfers use it after the tournament?
Yes. Plan another round, keep live scores, check GPS yardages, review your stats and stay connected with your group. Foremates is available for iPhone and Android, with an Apple Watch experience too.
How do we get started, and what does it cost?
Tell us about your club or event, your player numbers and the AI setup and reporting you want to explore. We’ll discuss the right options, scope and pricing with you. Use the enquiry form or email info@foremates.com.
Where do we get help or find privacy information?
Email info@foremates.com for help with your event or the app. The help centre, privacy policy and account-deletion page are linked below. For questions about how information is used in an AI workflow, raise them with our team before sharing player data.
